The first refit to a DC Parallel Hybrid Container ship in Europe is a fact! The Borelli, owned by The Blue World, is the second ship which is equipped with the very compact eL-Tec Power System.
eL-Tec Elektrotechnologie has delivered the PM propulsion motor (360 KW), PM generators (1 x 350 KW & 1 X280kw), 440 kw bowthruster and the PowerMaster inverters. We also have realized the automation of the entire system through our own Power Management System. A unique project of which hopefully more will follow!
The goal was to reduce CO2 emissions and to save fuel. Soon we hope to show you the results based on measurements which are taking place at this moment. Stay tuned for the final results of this project.
